I think positive peer pressure is when some one try to influence you do good. In Sam, Rameck, and George life they have many different form of peer pressure such as outside their house and all around them there are drug dealer and and other negative influence. George, Sam, and Rameck on positive influence in the book was a women name Carla. One example of positive peer pressure was when a person I use to care about believe in me. ^,^ That all i can say. Hope ya have positive influence.
I think positive peer pressure is when people influence you to do the right thing and that you are doing the right thing all the time. Some peer pressure that the three of them go through is trying to steal and sell drugs.In my life i always had positive peer pressure about doing the right thing all the time.

Parents, friends, and school are some of the example for people around you who can influence you in so many ways.

I think Peer Pressure is persuading all ages to do things that are either good or bad. I also think it's a heavy burden put upon people who try to do the right thing but can't make up their minds. It's an influence, that makes people go against their right minds. Most people try to live above the influence. They were faced with peer pressure because they all grew up in rough neighborhoods. One of them even went to jail.

For George he lived in a neighborhood where killing, stealing and drug dealing is something you see everyday but when he went to the dentist he was excited to see how the dentist works and wanted to become a dentist and got good grades to accomplish his dream.
Eventhough Rameck, George, and Sam are surrounded in negative peer pressure they manage to stat positive with a lot of role models and positive works of others. They encourage themselves to do better than what people expect them to be. Each one of them has a role model that helps them to be who they are now. And how successful they are.
i have to say that they are hard working people who are really dedicated to being doctors when they grow up and i feel as if their mom give them positive peer pressure to help them gain their goals
I think positive peer pressure is when people around you encourage you to do the right thing and encourage you to succeed. Like when you tell a friend you want to be a doctor and he/she encourages to do so or when friends encourage you to not do drugs or drink. The boys had many positive and negative peer pressure in their lives. They were raised around drugs, gun and many of their friends going to jail. But the boys also had some people who were positive like Rameek's mother who always encouraged him to do his homework.

For me one time this girl i was walking with was smokeing and she wanted me to do it with her but i didn't and she wouldn't talk to me anymore because i wasn't a smoker like her.

Positive peer pressure of Rameck is his grandmother because she was the one who helped him have tough love towards his mom because of her drug addiction. In Sam's case his six-grade teacher positively influenced him because she wanted him to succeed and not be a statistic. Also in George's case his positive influence was his third grade teacher who nurtured him like a mother and also told inspired him to go to college.

A great example of positive peer in Sam and George life is their teacher and mothers. Their teachers saw good things in them, Sam teacher Ms.Sandi recommended him to take an examination to enter one of the smartest programs at university high school. Sam didn't want to go but his teacher talk to his mother and she pushes him to take the test. Like Sam mother my mom didn't finish high school but she can read a little bit. Me my brother and my dad help her out and she getting better at reading and writing out her bills. She always tell us to go to school and learn so we can live our "American Dream" and have better life for our children. She is the one who motivates us to come to school every day.

Positive peer pressure is pushing and influencing your peers to do the right thing. In the book the positive peer pressure George, Sam and Rameck face is trying to persuade each other to go to college and help each other out to fulfill their dreams of becoming doctors. The positive peer pressure that I face in my own life, is teachers helping me to get good grades and continue to have the influence to go to college.
