Re-read how George describes graduation at the end of this section. Was he excited or scared? Have you ever thought about your own graduation? Are you excited? Are you scared? Are you nervous?
George at his graduation I would say he was nervous at his own graduation because he is one of the first out of his family to graduate. I do think about graduation and I would be nervous, scared, and excited. :)
George was sad but then calm at the same time because he was the first one out of his family to actually graduate. I would cry because that's the next step at being an adult and being on my own. I'm going to be scared but then I'm going to have to adjust to it and it will take time I do know that. I will be excited too because I'm going a step higher in my life and I will be both nervous too.

He was sad because he was leaving high school and had to make his own future happen because before everything was planned for him he was calm because he knew he wouldn't have to build his future alone. I am not nervous for my actual graduation but more so of what's going to happen after graduation.
